Barking up the Wrong Beaver

Barc-ee’s, a highway pit stop in Marshfield, MO, offering coffee, food, a dog yard, and a kids’ western-themed mini city has drawn legal action from Buc-ee’s, one of the United States’ most popular gas stations and country stores. While most common in Texas, Buc-ee’s has expanded to other states, including Missouri, with a location just 17 miles away from Barc-ee’s. In an earlier article from the same publication at the link, Barc-ee’s owner had confirmed that his legal team has assured him there were no issues with the similarities to Buc-ee’s. Time to hire new counsel because this was very clearly a riff on Buc-ee’s, from the name to the hat on the mascot.
