An all-Mexico and slightly eclectic collection of projects this week, with work from Mexico City and Monterrey. La Bulla by Bala La Bulla is an outdoor recreation area in Veracruz, Mexico, that spans 1.5 hectares and includes a soccer pitch, a basketball court, a kids playground, and plenty of open space. Created by the city during the pandemic, the master plan for the space was conceived by local architecture firm Taller Multidisciplinar, who then invited Mexico City-based Bala to design the graphics for it. Now, this is obviously not an identity project that even remotely looks like the rest of the 400-plus Friday Likes but I thought it was a great example of design elevating a place and an experience which is in part one of the goals of branding.
