Two vintage-looking projects serve as book-ends for a charming little thing this week, with work from Porto, Buenos Aires, and Vancouver. Barbearia Porto by Oscar Maia Barbearia Porto is a family-owned barbershop in Porto, Portugal, in business since 1946, offering haircuts, tattoos, apparel, and liquor. In other words, a hell of a Saturday night. The identity by local designer Oscar Maia is full-on and unapologetically vintage which means there is nothing necessarily original about it but it looks damn great. The typography is handled perfectly and evokes the old-timey vibe of a classic barbershop almost too successfully. The “services” sheet alone is pure gold.
