A set of minimalist yet fun projects this week, with work from Auckland, Mexico City, and Barcelona. The Wool Pot by Seachange The Wool Pot is a biodegradable plant pot made from New Zealand sheep wool. Although charming as a decorative pot, they are meant to be used for planting as the wool will organically decompose into the soil and even fertilize it. The identity, designed by Auckland, New Zealand-based Seachange, introduces us to one of the most delightful icons of the year with a perfectly abstract sheep whose face is the shape of a pot. It’s one of those perfect icons that you see the image, you see the name and it clicks.
