This week we segue from something orange to something orange with a craft box to something with a craft box, with work from Auckland, Montréal, and Jakarta. Sunny South by South Sunny South is a brand of oat milk available in New Zealand produced by Gus and Gilly, a couple of oat farmers from, well, the sunny south of New Zealand. The identity and packaging, designed by Auckland, New Zealand-based South — funny that South designed Sunny South — is so annoyingly simple and it looks so annoyingly good. Using only ITC’s Frankfurter Std — a font we have all probably been dismissing and scoffing at for decades — and Neue Haas Grotesk in a single weight, all typeset in a single vibrant and joyful orange color, the packaging makes the oat milk look like it has a full body and rich taste.
