A wildly different trio of food establishments this week, with work from Barcelona, Mérida, and Paris. Knahia by Requena Office Knahia is a Japanese restaurant in Estepona, Málaga, Spain, that also doubles as a night club. The identity, designed by Barcelona, Spain-based Requena Office, revolves around a custom typeface that is not only really good-looking and unique but it also has an excellent concept behind it: it’s chopsticks! Wherever possible, the letterforms act as chopsticks holding a circle between them and it just so happens that the letters in the name of the restaurant are all, except for the “I”, able to do it so the idea is at its best right in the logo.
