Bar 1900 by VVORKROOM Bar 1900 is a bar in Monterrey, Mexico, located inside a stunning early 1900s building that was the city’s first luxury hotel when it opened in 1912. Now known as Gran Hotel Ancira, the building was declared an Artistic Monument and Cultural Heritage of the Nation by the National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA) and the National Institute of Anthropology and History (INAH) in 1992. The identity, designed by Mexico City-based VVORKROOM, goes full Art Nouveau to honor the original decor of the hotel that, at the time, was inspired by the Ritz Hotel in Paris at the height of the Belle Époque, when Art Nouveau flourished.
