2023Kellogg's vs. Mexico
In Mexico, since 2019, consumer products with excess calories have to display a big-ass hexagon warnings and any product with more than 37 grams of added sugar per 100-gram serving is prohibited from marketing their products on shelves with a mascot, which has led Kellogg’s to find other ways to keep characters like Tony the Tiger and Toucan Sam in the minds of consumers in other ways, like drone light shows and curated Spotify lists. It’s unlikely regulations like these from the FDA could actually come to the U.S. but it wouldn’t hurt.
