New Identity for Tribeca Festival by Pentagram
Established in 2001, the Tribeca Film Festival, founded by Robert De Niro, Jane Rosenthal, and Craig Hatkoff in 2001 to kickstart the economic and cultural revitalization of lower Manhattan following the attacks on the World Trade Center, has grown to be one of the most well-known film festivals around the world, hosting over 600 screenings with approximately 150,000 attendees. Taking place annually since its introduction — except for 2020 because of the pandemic — this year marked its 20th-anniversary as the festival was celebrated in early June in both indoor and outdoor venues across, for the first time, all five New York City boroughs.
