New Logo and Identity for Avril by Caserne

Established in 1995, Avril is an independent chain of healthy, natural, and organic supermarkets in Québec, offering groceries, ready-to-eat meals, supplements, and cosmetics. Founded by co-owners Sylvie Senay and Rolland Tanguay as Panier Santé (“Health basket” in English), a single, 1,000-square-foot, organic and natural foods store in Granby, the couple changed the company’s name to Avril — “April” in English and chosen because it “evokes springtime and renewal” — when they looked to open their second store. Avril began a more thorough expansion in 2007 and now has 13 stores across the province that employs more than 1,000 people at its stores, headquarters, distribution centre, and in-house kitchen.
