New Logos for National Park Foundation and Service by Grey
Established in 1967, the National Park Foundation is the official charity of the National Park Service, the agency of the United States federal government that has managed the country’s national parks since 1916 when it was formed and today employs over 20,000 people at 401 parks. The National Park Foundation raises private funds, makes strategic grants, forms partnerships, and increases public awareness. Last week, to announce the centennial celebration of the National Park Service in 2016 — which will involve “a broad public engagement campaign to reintroduce the national parks and the work of the National Park Service to a new generation of Americans” — a new logo was introduced for the National Park Foundation, designed by New York, NY-based Grey.
