Score One for Lidl

A winner has emerged from the legal battle between Lidl and Tesco linked a couple of months ago and a judge has ruled in favor of Lidl, stating that Tesco’s Clubcard loyalty promotions “cause a ‘subtle but insidious’ transfer of image from the [Lidl logo] to the [Clubcard logo] in the minds of some consumers”. Tesco will be forced to pull the yellow and blue Clubcard logo from shelves and other uses.
