2026Trefoooooooooil!
With the release of the official away kits for all 25 partner federations, including 13 nations who are qualified for the 2026 World Cup, adidas has announced that its trefoil mark will be used again at the World Cup for the first time in 36 years. (No word on why it went away to begin with but maybe a hardcore World Cup fan among us might know the story.) The kit designs are inspired by 1990s aesthetics from when the trefoil was last used. The press release at the link also has a media gallery of 500-plus images of the various kits if that’s how you want to spend the next 12 hours of your day.
