Watch it like a Hawk

On the main sub Reddit for the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks fans — pop. 63,000+ — a user openly admitted that, after 34 years, they just now realized that the team’s logo is a hawk and not some odd Pac-Man-esque mascot. “I would’ve taken this to the grave lol” reads one reply among many other funny retorts along with empathy from many other fans for whom the logo wasn’t initially clear either. In their defense, even the team refers to it as “the Pac-Man” logo, which was introduced in 1972 and used until 1995 before being reintroduced in 2015.
