A fairly eclectic trio of projects ranging in styles and provenance, with work from Guadalajara, Oslo, and Hermosillo. Austeria by Estudio Albino Austeria is an upcoming wine bar that will open in the small city of Sidney, OH, population 20,000+, by the city’s own former City Manager. The identity, designed by Guadalajara, Mexico-based Estudio Albino, is unapologetically heavy on the Art Deco vibes but expressed in a fairly contemporary style through a series of sophisticated geometric shape compositions that literally frame most applications. Deployed in shades of green and accentuated by gold foil, the graphic motifs are a great backdrop for the simple logo in a geometric sans serif with subtle slabs on the “A”s shooting out sideways for just enough flair.
