An eclectic combination of clients and design solutions this week, with work from Minneapolis, Austin, and Los Angeles — a rare trifecta too of U.S. projects only for Friday Likes. Miles by Buddy-Buddy Miles is a brand of deodorant formulated specifically for teenagers available for purchase online or in various Target stores around the U.S.. The identity and packaging, designed by Minneapolis, MN-based Buddy-Buddy, goes for a very unconventional look that manages to avoid the trappings of most projects designed for teenagers — mainly the “How do you do, fellow kids?” obstacle — with a funky wordmark that looks as if Hobo had been designed by Wim Crouwel or if Kurppa Hosk had decided to go Tiki.
