New Logo and Identity for Lithuanian Culture Institute by andstudio
Take a shot of (googles “traditional Lithuanian alcohol”) midus every time the word “Lithuania” comes up. First established in 2008, the Lithuanian Culture Institute (Lietuvos kultūros institutas, or LKI in Lithuanian) is a branch of the national Ministry of Culture with the goal of promoting Lithuanian art and culture worldwide. The Institute invites cultural professionals from abroad to visit Lithuania, places Lithuanian artists in foreign cultural residencies, and assigns grants for the translation of books by Lithuanian authors. Each year, the LCI invites 100+ specialists from across the globe to come visit and work alongside architects, designers, visual artists, museum curators, musicians, and publishers in order to build enduring international partnerships. From 2021 on, they’ve also been putting out out a lovely semi-annual arts and literature anthology, * as a Journal in print for €15 or for free as a PDF. As the scope of the LCI project continued to grow, a more flexible identity system was needed. The Institute partnered with the Vilnius, Lithuania-based creative agency andstudio to develop a new identity, which was unveiled in July 2025. /** * Stop all iframes or HTML5 's from playing */ var stopVideos = function () { var videos = document.querySelectorAll('iframe, video'); Array.prototype.forEach.call(videos, function (video) { if (video.tagName.toLowerCase() === 'video') { video.pause(); } else { var src = video.src; video.src = src; } }); }; .pausevideos { margin: 20px 0 30px; display: block; font-size: .8em; font-family: 'ABCSocial'; font-variation-settings: "wdth" 100, "wght" 370, "slnt" 0; -webkit-font-feature-settings: "ss02" 1, "ss04" 1, "ss05" 1, "lnum" 1, "liga" 1; font-feature-settings: "ss02" 1, "ss04" 1, "ss05" 1, "lnum" 1, "liga" 1; text-transform: uppercase; letter-spacing:.15em; font-style: normal; font-weight: normal; cursor: pointer; border: 1px solid rgba(242,24,24,.5); background: transparent; color: rgba
