First sold in 1924, Bit-O-Honey is a chewy candy with almond bits blended into a honey-flavored taffy. Originally produced by Schutter-Johnson Company of Chicago, IL, the candy brand has changed owners multiple times, first in 1969 when Schutter-Johnson was merged into the Ward Candy Company, later it was acquired by Terson Company in 1981, which then was sold to Nestlé in 1984, followed by Pearson’s Candy Company in 2013, and, finally, it was acquired by Spangler Candy Company in 2020.
