A couple of cafés with a twist serve as book-ends for a book-related project this week, with work from San José, London, and A Coruña. Moose by Pupila Moose is a coffee and pizza — what?! — restaurant in San José, Costa Rica, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner with a menu fit to feed a moose. The identity, designed by local firm Pupila, takes that odd combination of coffee and pizza to introduce a series of minimalist icons of odd pairs, whether it’s a pizza slice sticking out of a coffee cup, a moose relaxing in a coffee cup, or a cupcake absorbing the contents of a coffee cup.
