A fairly odd trio of projects, going from cozy to luxury to industrial, with work from Murcia, Toronto, and Verona. La Madrugada by Rubio & del Amo La Madrugada (“Dawn”, as in early morning, in English) is a bakery run by artisanal baker Javier Moreno in the small town of Beniaján, Spain, near the big city of Murcia. The identity, designed by Murcia-based Rubio & del Amo, leads with a nice serif logo that, thanks to the length of the name, has a great rhythm to it with all of its many serifs. A secondary script typeface for the name of the baker is a little too cute for my taste but it’s not wrong in any way and the “m” looks like a loaf of bread so that’s cool.
